What is the anointing?
The anointing is another way of saying God’s supernatural enabling, or God’s power, God’s Spirit, The Finger of God, God’s living water, God’s virtue, God’s kingdom functioning.
Christ was/is the anointing in the flesh, The anointed one! The Anointing is the Spirit of Christ… anti anointing is anti-Christ!
Jesus said I am the water of Life.
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,’ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)
Jesus said, He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:38) But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified. (John 7:39)
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.” (Luke 8:46)
Then he showed me the river of the Water of Life, bright as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Rev 22:1)
He said to me, ‘It hath been done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; I, to him who is thirsting, will give of the fountain of the water of the life freely (Rev 21:6)
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” He who hears, let him say, “Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely (Rev 22:17)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. (John 4:14)
I will poor out my Spirit in the last days… (Joel 2:28-9)
What does the anointing do?
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:19)
It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit. (Joel 2:28-9)
Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. (Luke 7:22)
How to get Anointed?
We need not only to get anointed but also need to know how it flows and how it can be blocked and increased.
First thing we need to know is it is not given to Adam (old creation), its given to the new creation (Christ), in the Old Testament the Priest would wash the sacrifice and then enter into the Holy Place to do the duties of a priest… unless you are pressing to do the duties as God’s priest, (minister to people on behalf of God) the chance you won’t step into an anointing from the Lord…
You have a unction (anointing) from the Holy one to know all things.
The anointing abides within you.

The main point here is the ooze anointing that we seem to live in and experience doesn’t have to be, we can function with a thunderbolt anointing but I think the problem is… if you’re full of yourself, you will flow out, if you’re full of God, God will flow out.
Jesus said it this way, this type comes out but with prayer and fasting, in other words… you need to get at a better place spiritually guys your unbelief is raising its ugly head, blocking the anointing and the job is not getting done! (Matt 17:16-21)

How we Release the anointing
They way we release the anointing is the same way the woman with the issue of blood did, by faith in the Lord, She sneaked up and touched his garment, Jesus only knew about it when he felt power come out of him… he said who touched me? He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” (Luke 8:48)
When Jesus prayed for people they got instantly healed… if the anointing doesn’t flow nothing will happen… if the anointing only oozes they will only get a partial healing.
Faith releases the anointing, the presence of the Lord will come but unless you release Him he won’t heal… Unless sovereignly – which I doubt because it normally defeats the purpose.
