Jesus healed them all… this demonstrates God’s will. 16 When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.” (Matt 8:16-17) 23 Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. 24 The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them. (Matt 4:23-24) 17 He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; 18 as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were being healed. 19 All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all. (Luke 6:17-19) 55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was. 56 Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well. (Mark 6:55-56) 38 even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. (Acts 10:38) The Apostles healed them all too… 15 They even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mattresses, so that as Peter came by, at the least his shadow might overshadow some of them. 16 Multitudes also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed. (Acts 5:15-16) God made a covenant with the children of Israel that he would heal their diseases… and he said, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.” (Ex 15:26) And give worship to the Lord your God, who will send his blessing on your bread and on your water; and I will take all disease away from among you. (Ex 23:25) However the Children of Israel had a history of sickness, bondage and pestilence, but when they turned to God in repentance and confession their sins were always forgiven and there sicknesses were healed. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have Life, and may have it in abundance. (John 10:10) Dying of a horrible disease is not abundant life 56 For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” (Luke 9:56) Sickness destroys therefore its not from God; Christ came to save (Greek: sozo, meaning to deliver us, to save us and preserve us, to heal us, to give us life, to make us whole), but never to destroy us. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. (Isa 53:5) who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24) If the age of miracles has past… For this to be true, there would have to be a total absence of miracles, and even one miracle would prove that the age of miracles has not past. However the technical evidence produced in hundreds of laboratories of the world, concerning innumerable cases of miraculous healings exhibits it’s not past. Anyone who claims the age of miracles is past, denies the need, the privileges, and the benefits of prayer. If prayer brings an answer, that answer is a miracle. God can not answer prayer without a miracle, because He has performed something supernatural. The age of miracles is not past because Jesus, the miracle-worker, has never changed: He is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Heb 13:8) Jesus never refused anyone who came to him for healing. If it’s God’s will for you to be sick… How come Jesus didn’t go around putting sickness on people, He was angry with quite a few people, and He is not a liar, so if His will was to put sickness on some He would have done it openly. If sickness was Gods will, every physician and nurse would be lawbreakers of God’s divine rule, and every hospital a house of rebellion instead of a house of mercy. The failure of many to be healed today when prayed for is never the failure of God’s will to heal them (Matt 17:16-21) If it’s not God’s will for all to be healed… How come Jesus went against God’s will and healed them all? Only one person in the whole bible asked for healing by saying “If it be your will” Jesus immediately responded “I will; be clean Half the promises would be lies then… Promises of abundant life, Desiring us to be in good health, Took our infirmities, Destroy works of Devil, Free from the curse, Free from law of sin and death, If Son sets you free… is free in deed, body broken for you, Blessings of Abraham, plus so many more etc…. If sickness glorifies God… Some say we can glorify God by being patient in sickness more than being healed… Then any attempt to get well by natural means would be an effort to rob God of His glory If sickness glorifies God we should all be sick then If sickness glorifies God, Jesus robbed God of glory and the Holy Spirit continued to rob God of glory too. If God’s will for you to seek healing naturally… (medical science) Means that God required us to use a less successful method during a better dispensation, He healed them all, but today many disease are incurable by medical science. The man gets the glory instead of God Then Jesus died in vain for your infirmities If healing is not for all… Jesus should have qualified His promise when He said… Jesus said whatever you ask in prayer, believing – He didn’t say except healing – the said whatever! “If you ask anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:12-14) Anything! “Whatever you desire, (sick people desire to be well) when you pray, believe that you receive it and you shall have it”… whatever!! (Mark 11:24) He also says, “If you live in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it shall be done for you”. – He didn’t say except healing – (John 15:7) You must accept God’s promise as true and believe that you are forgiven before you can experience the joy of spiritual healing. You must accept God’s promise as true and believe that you are healed before you can experience the joy of physical healing. Because you have set your love upon me, God says, therefore will I deliver you: I will set you on high, because you have known my name. You shall call upon me, and I will answer you: I will be with you in trouble; I will deliver you, and honour you. With long life will I satisfy you, and show you my salvation. (Ps 91:14-16) |
