Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy had the big question… why? what is the meaning for everything?
Why did God make everything?
Simple answer… the bible says we were made for His good pleasure…
God made us for relationship with Him…
God didn’t want robots so he gave us a free will, He wanted free will love and devotion, He wanted relationship… God knew creating relationship means problems.
The big problem with relationship is its not real unless there is free will or in other words a choice centre, a place where we choose the choices we choose freely. Now this free will thing is what causes all the problems… God knew that eventually we would choose wrong, that we would stumble and fall away. God knows the end from the beginning, He knew the angels would fall, He knew man would fall.
The problem with us choosing wrong is it causes others to be harmed, and for this harm to be put right there must be justice… The voice of love is silenced by the voice of justice, therefore there is no restoration for the wrong choices apart from absolute justice. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
Lets look at how Lucifer fell…
Ezekiel 28: 15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.
16 By the abundance of your traffic they filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I have cast you as profane out of the mountain of God; and I have destroyed you, covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I have cast you to the ground; I have laid you before kings, that they may see you.
18 By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your traffic, you have profaned your sanctuaries; therefore have I brought forth a fire from the midst of you; it has devoured you, and I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all those who see you.
John 8: 44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
As you can see Lucifer became violent and murdered someone, (you can’t be a murderer without murdering someone) and through trading and vanity he and became the inventor and father of lies. These lies drew away a third of the angels… God was saying trust me, but the lie was so great that they didn’t believe His Word.
So justice must be done… balance must be restored
As you can see there is no redemption for the ones that God loves so dearly, (as God would have immeasurably loved every angel that fell away) His grace had no legal ground to stand on… God is love and this setup of His kingdom is doesn’t allow His love to be expressed or to restore the fallen ones to right standing.
The Kingdom of Heaven is corruptible… Lucifer and a third of the angels have corrupted it, and there is war in heaven…
There are three corruptible kingdoms and one incorruptible kingdom….
The corruptible kingdoms are The kingdom of this world, the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of Heaven… each one of these Kingdoms can not be restored because there is no room for grace in the face of justice.
The incorruptible kingdom is the kingdom of God’s son. The kingdom of God’s son has room for ‘free will’ to fail, fall and the ones to be restored again. This is why the first thing God did in setting up a frame work for His universe (creation) was make himself a knew position…
This is why the first creation of God was Christ…
15 (Christ) who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together. (Col :15)
But Christ is from everlasting to everlasting so he never had a finite beginning, He is God in a new position… he is the word of God, 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that has been made. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him. 14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
As we can see God is the ‘The Christ’, the Word of God, the Son of God, God the Son, the Creator, Almighty God, the alpha and omega, the first and the last, besides me there is no God, I know no other god, God.
And another position….
But because God will have to come to earth as a man born under the law of sin and death, He will have all the limitations of a man, therefore God also created Himself another position the Spirit of Christ (Holy Spirit) to help Himself ‘The Word’ save man. God ‘The Holy Spirit’ will draw all men to His redemption and teach them about His Word.
God’s creation will come from both sides of the spectrum.
So once God had set the structure in place he set about making the creation, one will be born in the light, perfect, without sin, but God knew the ‘free will’ will cause it to fall. The other creation will be born in the darkness, in sin (after the fall). The creation made in the light will witness the agony and destructive power of error and they will also witness the desire and hunger for those who are in darkness to be filled with righteousness. So both creations will get a balanced look at error and the horror it causes.
Then God will translate everything (willing, repentant) into the kingdom of His son for redemption and restoration.
13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love; 14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins; (Col 1:13)
The bible says Christ was crucified [planned to be] before God even started to lay the foundation of the world. In the fullness of time God’s great love and grace will come into play and both will come together in Christ.
20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross. (Col 1:20)
Therefore God has built everything around His Word,
His Word, we were made by the Word, through the Word, for the Word. The Word came to save us, to guide us and now we are now part of it, incorporated into it… a new creation, born of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. We now only grow and live by the Word of God. 4 “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'” also its how we overcome the lies and we fight 17 …and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
The bible says God has exalted His word above all things… why?
In other words God is saying trust me I know what I am doing… believe what I say, my Word is true!

God desired to make heaven and earth, but knowing the end from the beginning and the problems that would follow, He set the structure first. His first step was to make a new position for Himself ‘Christ’, the one who can satisfy justice.
Then He made His creations and gave them free will, in the fullness of time Christ came to demonstrate God’s love, suffer and die for the sin of all of His creation. He centres everything, completely everything around Christ (His Word) and sets about to teach us that His Word is everything.
